Reboot a Cluster

Reboot a running cluster when recovery or a configuration change requires its compute resources to restart. Rebooting can interrupt or delay requests, so schedule it for a maintenance window or after active workloads have finished.

Before you begin

• Confirm that the cluster has no active workload. Requests can fail or be delayed during the reboot.
• A reboot typically takes about 3 minutes. You cannot perform other operations on the cluster until it completes.
• Compute and cache charges continue while the cluster reboots.

Reboot a cluster

1. Log in to the VeloDB Cloud console.
2. In the upper-left corner, select the warehouse that contains the cluster.
3. In the left navigation pane, under Compute, click Clusters.
4. On the card for a running cluster, click Reboot.
5. In the confirmation dialog, review the warning about request interruptions or delays, then click OK.

The status changes to Rebooting. When the reboot completes, it returns to Running, and the cluster can process requests again.
