Upload a Local File

Upload a local CSV, JSON, or Parquet file into a warehouse table through Data Integration in the VeloDB Cloud Console. Each file can be up to 100 MB.

Before you begin

  • Use a SaaS warehouse. Upload file is not available for BYOC warehouses.
  • Make sure the warehouse has a running cluster and your account has permission to load data into the target table.
  • Prepare the file and identify the target database and table, or make sure you can create them during the upload.

Loading data uses warehouse compute and storage. See Billing for usage and charges.

Upload the file

  1. Log in to the VeloDB Cloud console and select the destination warehouse.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Data Integration. Choose Upload file from the initial page. If this page already contains jobs, in the upper-right corner, choose Add Data > Upload file instead.
  3. In Configure file, select a CSV, JSON, or Parquet file up to 100 MB. Choose the file format and configure parsing options, such as the CSV column separator.
  4. In Configure tables, review the data preview, select or create the target table, and check column types and field mappings.
  5. In Configure settings, select the cluster and review the loading options.
  6. Click Start. After the upload finishes, check its record under Data Uploads and query the target table in SQL Editor to verify the data.

Manage upload records

On Data Integration, select Data Uploads to view file upload records. Deleting a record removes only the job record, not its imported table or data. Jobs in progress cannot be deleted.
