Compute Options and Pricing Update
VeloDB Cloud is introducing two compute updates:
- Available now: New compute options with 4 GiB of memory per vCPU for workloads with lower memory requirements per vCPU.
- Effective January 1, 2027: Updated pricing for compute options with 8 GiB of memory per vCPU. The updated pricing applies to new and existing customers, subject to the pricing terms of applicable customer agreements.
Both updates apply to SaaS and BYOC deployments. All prices below are in USD and reflect compute resource rates.
New compute options: 4 GiB per vCPU
The new compute options provide more flexibility to match compute and memory resources to workload requirements. The following rates are available now:
| Deployment | Region | Price |
|---|---|---|
| SaaS | North America and South Asia | US$0.123 per vCPU-hour |
| SaaS | All other regions | US$0.148 per vCPU-hour |
| BYOC | All regions | US$0.100 per vCPU-hour |
For resource configuration, see Create a Cluster.
Updated compute pricing: 8 GiB per vCPU
The following rates take effect on January 1, 2027. Current rates remain in effect through December 31, 2026, subject to applicable customer agreements.
| Deployment | Region | Price |
|---|---|---|
| SaaS | North America and South Asia | US$0.160 per vCPU-hour |
| SaaS | All other regions | US$0.192 per vCPU-hour |
| BYOC | All regions | US$0.125 per vCPU-hour |
