OS Updates
OS updates apply security fixes to operating system packages in a warehouse. They are managed separately from VeloDB Core upgrades.
Before you begin
Note:
OS updates are currently in Private Preview. To enable them for your warehouse, contact VeloDB Cloud Support.
To schedule an update for Next maintenance window, configure a maintenance window. Choose an off-peak period and review the update's impact before applying it.
Review and schedule updates
- Log in to the VeloDB Cloud Console and select the warehouse.
- In the left navigation pane, under MORE, click Warehouse Settings.
- In OS Updates, click View Updates.
- On Pending Updates, review each update's status, scheduled start, estimated time, and description.
- Click Schedule or Reschedule to choose Next maintenance window or Apply immediately.
- Review the impact acknowledgment, select the checkbox, and then click Save Changes or Apply Now.
Change or cancel a scheduled update
To change an update's schedule, click Reschedule and choose a new option. Changing the warehouse's maintenance window does not change updates that are already scheduled. Reschedule the affected update to use the new window.
To cancel an existing schedule when cancellation is available:
- Select Not scheduled in Reschedule.
- Click Save Changes.
Review update history
Use History in View Updates to review previous OS updates, including their status, start and end times, and duration. If a failed or revoked update has a message, hover over the warning icon next to its status to read the details.
