VELODB TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. is registered in Singapore, with a subsidiary registered in the United States, VELODB INC. VELODB TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. and VELODB INC., collectively known as VeloDB, provide cloud-based real-time data warehouse service to customers. This Privacy Policy describes how VELODB TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“VeloDB”, “we”, “us” and “our”) processes information about you in connection with our business. It covers personal information that is provided to us via websites that link to this Privacy Policy (the “Sites”) and your registration or participation in sales and marketing events sponsored by our partners or by us. It also covers certain information (such as account data and usage data, as described below) that is provided to us via your use of our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering. This Privacy Notice also describes the VeloDB’s policies and practices regarding its collection and use of your personal data, and sets forth your privacy rights. We recognize that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and so we will from time to time update this Privacy Notice as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies.

How we collect and use (process) your personal information
Information you provide to us. When registering for the use of VeloDB. VeloDB collects personal information about its website visitors and customers. With a few exceptions, this information is generally limited to:
- name
- job title
- employer name
- work email
- work phone number
We use this information to provide prospects and customers with services.
We do not sell personal information to anyone and only share it with third parties who are facilitating the delivery of our services.
From time to time, VeloDB receives personal information about individuals from third parties. Typically, information collected from third parties will include further details on your employer or industry. We may also collect your personal data from a third party website (e.g. LinkedIn). Automatic data collection. We may automatically log information about you when you visit the Sites and/or when you use our Services.
As is true of most other websites, VeloDB’s website collects certain information automatically. The information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system and other usage information about the use of VeloDB’s website, including a history of the pages you view. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our users’ needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website, analyze trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences.
VeloDB has a legitimate interest in understanding how members, customers and potential customers use its website. This assists VeloDB with providing more relevant products and services, with communicating value to our sponsors and corporate members, and with providing appropriate staffing to meet member and customer needs.
Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
The personal information VeloDB collects from you is stored in one or more databases hosted by third parties. These third parties do not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval. On occasion, VeloDB engages third parties to send information to you, including information about our products, services, and events.

We do not otherwise reveal your personal data to non-VeloDB persons or businesses for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) it’s in connection with VeloDB-hosted and VeloDB co-sponsored conferences as described above; (3) the information is provided to comply with the law (for example, compelled by law enforcement to comply with a search warrant, subpoena, or court order), enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of our employees or others; (4) the information is provided to our agents, vendors or service providers who perform functions on our behalf; (5) to address emergencies or acts of God; or (6) to address disputes, claims, or to persons demonstrating legal authority to act on your behalf. We may also gather aggregated data about our services and website visitors and disclose the results of such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to our partners, service providers, advertisers, and/or other third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
The VeloDB website connects with third party services such as LinkedIn, Twitter and others. If you choose to share information from the VeloDB website through these services, you should review the privacy policy of that service. If you are a member of a third party service, the aforementioned connections may allow that service to connect your visit to our site to your personal data.
VeloDB may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
Any such disclosure will be strictly limited to what is necessary and permitted under the applicable laws. VeloDB commits to reviewing the legality of such requests and will strive for transparency in the process to the extent permitted by law.
Liability for Onward Transfers
VeloDB complies with the principles of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF).
In accordance with these frameworks, when we transfer personal information to a third party acting as a controller or agent (e.g., our vendors, processors, or partners), we will only do so if the third party has provided contractual assurances that they will process the personal information for limited and specified purposes consistent with the consent provided by the individual and that they will provide the same level of protection as required by the DPF Principles.
Important Notice: If a third party processes such personal information in a manner that is inconsistent with the DPF Principles, VeloDB may be held liable for the damages caused by the event, unless VeloDB can prove that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Data storage and retention
Your personal data is stored by VeloDB on its servers, and on the servers of the cloud-based database management services VeloDB engages. VeloDB retains service data for the duration of the customer’s business relationship with VeloDB and for a period of time thereafter, to analyze the data for VeloDB’s own operations, and for historical and archiving purposes associated with VeloDB’s services. VeloDB retains prospect data until such time as it no longer has business value and is purged from VeloDB systems. All personal data that VeloDB controls may be deleted upon verified request from Data Subjects or their authorized agents. Data Subject Rights
The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other countries’ privacy laws provide certain rights for data subjects. Data Subject rights under GDPR include the following:

This Privacy Notice is intended to provide you with information about what personal data VeloDB collects about you and how it is used.

You may also request information about: the purpose of the processing; the categories of personal data concerned; who else outside VeloDB might have received the data from VeloDB; what the source of the information was (if you didn’t provide it directly to VeloDB); and how long it will be stored. You have a right to correct (rectify) the record of your personal data maintained by VeloDB if it is inaccurate. VeloDB will make a concerted effort to limit the use and disclosure of personal data upon request of the individual. You may request that VeloDB erase that data or cease processing it, subject to certain exceptions. You may also request that VeloDB cease using your data for direct marketing purposes. In many countries, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how VeloDB processes your personal data. When technically feasible, VeloDB will—at your request—provide your personal data to you.
Reasonable access to your personal data will be provided at no cost. If access cannot be provided within a reasonable time frame, VeloDB will provide you with a date when the information will be provided. If for some reason access is denied, VeloDB will provide an explanation as to why access has been denied.

Choices
If personal data covered by this Privacy Policy is to be used for a new purpose that is materially different from that for which the personal data was originally collected or subsequently authorized, or is to be disclosed to a non-agent third party in a manner not specified in this Poly, we will provide you with an opportunity to choose whether to have your personal data so used or disclosed. Requests to opt out of such uses or disclosures of Personal Data should be sent to us as specified in the "Questions, concerns or complaints" section below.
Certain personal data, such as information about name or job title,email or phone,are considered "Sensitive Information." we will not use Sensitive Personal for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual unless we have received your explicit consent.
Processing Personal Information in the US
We have a company in the United States and use service providers located in the United States. The information we collect about you will be processed in the United States. By using the VeloDB service, it indicates that you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in the United States. According to Article 46 of the GDPR, VeloDB provides appropriate safeguard measures by signing enforceable and binding standard data protection clauses that are applicable to data subjects (in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom).
Depending on the specific circumstances, VeloDB may also collect personal data and transfer it to the United States based on consent, to fulfill the contract signed with you, or to achieve VeloDB's urgent legal interests without infringing upon your rights and freedoms. VeloDB is committed to adopting appropriate protection measures to safeguard the privacy and security of your personal data, and will only use these data in accordance with the relationship with you and the practices described in this privacy statement. Whenever possible and appropriate, VeloDB will also sign data processing agreements and standard contract clauses with its suppliers. Since its establishment, VeloDB has received zero government information requests.

Children
The Site and the Services are not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information through our Site or Services from a child under 18 without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law, we will delete it.
Dispute resolution
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, VELODB INC commits to refer unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider based in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your DPF Principles-related complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your DPF Principles-related complaint to your satisfaction, please visit DPF-Dispute-Resolution (opens in a new tab) for more information or to file a complaint. The services of JAMS are provided at no cost to you.
Regulatory Oversight
VeloDB is subject to the investigatory and enforcement authority of the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) with regard to its compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF).

Data Privacy Framework
VeloDB complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. VeloDB has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and from the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar) in reliance on the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. VeloDB has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern.
